Let me start by saying that I am so honored to share my journey of growth and learning with parents everywhere. As a parent, most know me as “Mama Zebah, aka Imaya, Mommy, Mama, Mah, Maaaah!” And the list goes on…

Many thanks to my supporters for their encouragement and trust.

At the beginning and end of every day, I am simply a human being on the path to achieving quality.  I understand the delicate balance of navigating work & life and the reality that there is no permanent plateau.  I value patience and flexibility, and they have allowed me to be educated in challenging and triumphant ways.  I am ever committed to helping others develop their potential as parents, leaders, and changemakers.  As a proud mother of two boys, I can attest that the days are long and the years are short.  Yet, I wouldn't have it any other way.

I spent most of my adult life living overseas for extended periods, mainly in West Africa, with travels to England, Canada, and the US. These experiences cultivated my perspective beyond how society, community, and social structures are defined in the West. My personal and professional paths have coalesced in cultural activism, as I support protecting and preserving indigeneity.

I have had the opportunity to host many workshops, lunch and learns, and public speaking engagements that have reinforced my commitment to fostering meaningful conversations among the BIPOC community, finding solutions, and providing/advocating for resources.  I am a communications consultant, and upon stepping into my dream of helping others, I became a professional coach.  Engagements surrounding cultural identity, lived experiences, and Indigenous values have further enriched my understanding of the diverse narratives shaping our communities and the importance of illuminating them.  Yikes...sound like a resume yet?

My journey has been deeply rooted in building and maintaining relationships with immigrant communities, parents, and those partnering in cultural activism and advocacy. One of my biggest passions is supporting and advising parents on their respective paths, regardless of their children's age.  As a seasoned facilitator, I've held focus groups for the KAD and DoKAD community and BIPOC Parents from expecting to toddler-aged children.  As a survivor/thriver, I also hold space for individuals healing from traumatic relationships and abuse.  All groups are facilitated from more of a coaching angle, where we work towards the individuals we wish to become and achieve the goals we had or are setting now.  I affirm that healing varies among people and situations; though they are unique, they are not isolated. I offer a community of support for those seeking.

So,...definitely giving overtones of "cover letter," but those of you reading this are a true occasion worthy of this deep dive!  Hat's off for your time and support.
